Mission Focus: NT Concepts is seeking a Operations Manager, Mid to support the DoD enterprise Military Housing system. This complex system of 34 web-based modules is used by over 10,000 active users to meet the housing needs of over 2.5 million service members, DoD civilians, and their families.

Clearance: Active DOD Secret clearance required

Location/Flexibility: Must be local to the DC Metro area. This position offers remote flexibility with onsite work in Dulles, VA based on project needs.

Responsibilities: 

• Assisting in Project Planning: 
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop and implement project plans, including setting goals, budgets, and timelines.
  • Ensure effective communication between project team members and other stakeholders to facilitate collaboration and information sharing.
• Monitoring Project Progress:
  • Keep a close eye on project progress, identifying any issues or delays.
  • Propose adjustments to schedules or strategies as necessary to maintain momentum.
• Resource Management:
  • Oversee the procurement of resources and materials, ensuring they meet project specifications and are delivered on time.
• Risk Management:
  • Implement risk management strategies to minimize project risks.
  • Prepare contingency plans for potential problems.
• Facilitating Project Meetings:
  • Prepare agendas, document discussions, and track action items during project meetings.
• Evaluating Project Outcomes:
  • Assess project outcomes against initial objectives and criteria.
  • Provide detailed reports on findings and recommendations for future improvements.
• Contract Administration:
  • Support the Project Manager in contract administration.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and organizational standards.
  • Address any disputes or variations that may arise.
• Creating Document Templates:
  • Word Templates: Technical writers/editors develop standardized templates for documents, such as reports, manuals, and guides.
  • Slide Decks (PowerPoint): Create presentation templates for internal or external use.
  • Excel Templates: Design templates for data tracking, tables, and charts.
• Quality Assurance through Editing and Reviewing:
  • Review and improve technical content for clarity, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors.
  • Ensure documents comply with quality standards.
• Note Taking During Meetings:
  • Actively participate in meetings, capturing key points, decisions, and action items.
  • Ensure accurate representation of discussions and outcomes.
• Recording / Following up on Action Items:
  • Document tasks or responsibilities assigned during meetings.
  • Action items are tracked, assigned to individuals or teams, and monitored for completion.
  • Follow up with relevant stakeholders to track progress and address any obstacles.

Qualifications:

• BA/BS in a technical discipline with at least 5 years relevant technical of experience.
• Security+ or able to obtain within 6 months of starting in position
• PMP, CAPM or CSM (preferred)
• Prior experience working on a DOD government technical development project.

Physical Requirements: 

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 10-15 pounds at times.
