We have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Project Engineer - Gateway GRAIL to join our team.
What you'll do all day:
- Operations Project Engineer will be essential to the success of the Gateway Ready Avionics Integration Lab (GRAIL) which will certify the avionics for all modules of the Gateway Program which will return to the moon
- Support project group with design of new and existing avionic testing hardware
- Perform ground testing and flight operations testing for hardware with end item documentation of the GRAIL
- Use Linux based workstations and scripts for switch layout of the lab
- Support integration testing for verification and validation activities of hardware
- Should understand and support project testing schedule and produce required documentation
- Should review and track engineering deliverables for project status reporting
- Should understand CAD drawings and large-scale system configurations
- Work with procurement documentation and work with vendors for hardware specification and delivery
- Must have good communication and organizational skills and the ability to work in a team environment
- Perform other duties as required
- Are a self-starter and require little oversight to complete given tasks

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering in the field or in a related area
- Understanding of electrical, mechanical, and power systems
- Understanding of lab operations and documentation
- US Citizenship is required for all applicants
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited engineering school
- Knowledge of Avionic Hardware and/or Flight Processes/Paperwork
- Experience with NASA avionics is a plus
