Operations Readiness Engineer
Job Description
TEMPORARY, CONTRACT ROLE
Personal Accountability
- Champion Operations support for processes, standards, and procedure development, and integrate solutions into BWE Operations Readiness plan and delivery.
- Liaise with the Operations Team in Dubai, Technical Writers, and the Project Engineering Team on the development of Operations Processes, Policies, Standards, and Procedures
- Provide BWE technical input for the Operations Readiness Processes.
Key Tasks
- Expected to contribute technically or procedurally to the development of the operations team, with a view to efficiency or technical improvements.
- Assist and support the Operations Readiness Manager in the development of many crucial documents such as Resource Planning).
- Assist to generate the Operations Philosophy for BWE (Corporate, Country, and Asset) and detailed plan for the Project and monitor and report on their implementation.
- Follow up and resolution of technical problems with the Project team in the design offices and conversion yard.
- Assist in the implementation of the BWE Operations Management system on board the Hibiscus Alpha prior to departure from the conversion yard.
- Assist in the implementation of the document control and filing system within the BWE OMS.
- Assist in the generation of the Operations Training matrix and monitor the implementation of the training and competency assessment program.
- Assist in the coordination of the internal pre-sail and prestart-up audits and monitor their implementation and subsequent close-out of action items.
- Provide regular reports to the Operations Readiness Manager on the above activities.
- Experience in media, creative environments, and Microsoft Suite Tools.
- Understanding of the principles of project execution and delivery.
- Networking and strong interpersonal skills.
- Suggest improvements to systems and plan how to implement them.
- Work closely with BWE Project, Drilling, and Operations teams when required.
- Participate in the improvement processes.
- Work closely with Vendors and Suppliers on all Operations Readiness Projects.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred or equivalent work experience.
Experience
- Minimum of 7 years in the offshore industry specifically related to FPSOs, Production Platforms, Offshore Production Systems, Projects, and Field Operations support is preferred.
- E&P Greenfield and Brownfield projects experience is a plus.

Knowledge
- Familiarity with offshore Oil industry-standard processes, standards, and working practices is essential.
- Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality aspects in an operational environment is an advantage.
Benefits
This position is a temporary, contract role (~6 months). As such contractor is not eligible to participate in employer-provided benefits.
