Summary
This position serves as the Technical Analyst for the System Safety Management Transformation (SSMT) program within the Program Management Branch (AVP-220) of the FAA’s Office of Accident Investigation and Prevention (AVP).

Basic Requirements
Degree: in operations research; or at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus.
To qualify for this position at the J-band: you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FV-I, FG/GS- 13 in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.
Specialized experience includes: Experience collecting and organizing data and then using the data to conduct data-driven analysis on any variety of programs or projects.
Writing Sample: Candidates who are invited to interview for this position will be required to provide a writing sample upon interview scheduling. Candidates will be informed of the writing sample topics, requirements, and deadline at the time of scheduling. The writing sample is a mandatory requirement for the interview and candidates who do not meet this requirement will not receive further consideration. Please note, the writing sample is not due as part of the initial application process and is only required by candidates who are extended an invitation to interview.
