ABOUT THE ROLE
The Operations Specialist monitors daily solar plant activity, including external vendors, reports on performance, and recommends actionable improvements across the company's portfolio.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Develop and implement department-wide quality control measures.
- Recommend new procedures for increasing the efficiency of day-to-day operations.
- Maintain communication with operations leadership, other staff, and vendors to ensure adherence to protocols across key touch points.
- Assist the Operations Manager in developing, planning, and coordinating operational activities.
- Ensure operations are in legal compliance with local and national regulations. Including monitoring and submitting all required permits associated with the project.
- Contracts and coordinates ancillary project services.
- Ensure invoices are received, reviewed and track payments are complete.
- Collaborate with individual department, as well as cross-functionally with other departments within the organization.
- Maintain organizational excellence in terms of project timelines and deliverables.

- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Education: Associate's degree or equivalent years of experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in asset management, operations, or related. Renewable energy experience is preferred.
- Technology: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, and an ability to learn company-specific software programs, tools, processes, and machines.
- Skills/Attributes:
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- High-degree of self-motivation with the ability to effectively solve problems with little direction.
- Demonstrated ability to creatively think outside of the box.
