Operations Specialist

Job Description

$24/hr plus a $500 Signing Bonus

General: Support the management of the Operations Department by handling various operational and accounting responsibilities for the Bank.

Reports to: Higher level Accounting Technician, Department Supervisor/Manager, or COO

Specific:

• Responsible for wire transfers. Complete process for handling incoming and outgoing wire transfers, as outlined in the First Utah Bank wire transfer policy. Interact (including training) with Treasury Management users on best practices for initiating wire transfers and using WireManager. Ensure proper notification of wire transfer activity and posting of wire transfers and associated fees.
• Responsible for ACH Origination. Complete process for handling ACH Origination transactions as outlined in the First Utah Bank ACH policy. Interact (including training) with Treasury Management users on best practices. Ensure proper notification of ACH Origination activity (including returns) and posting of transactions and associated fees.
• Research as requested by branches and departments.
• Process all transaction exceptions, daily
• Process accounts payable, employee expenses
• Print and mail customer notification
• Responsible to pay out CD interest by check; process and send to customers in a timely manner.
• Back up other Accounting/Operations Tech functions as requested.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Experience and Skills

Experience:

• 1+ years banking experience, with a basic understanding of Accounting.
• Working knowledge of computer applications with the ability to develop and maintain Excel spreadsheets.
