Job Description

  • Maintains responsibility for all aspects of digital equipment, applications and/or systems administration, including implementation, configuration, coordination, control, maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, usage monitoring and the development of systems infrastructure within Digital Infrastructure
  • Performs installations, upgrades, and may perform backups of software and hardware applications
  • Designs, writes, implements and performs backup and restore procedures, and monitors processes
  • Administers and maintains system stability
  • Troubleshoots software and hardware failures and identifies net problems when they relate to digital equipment

Key responsibilities include:

  • Installs new software releases, performs system upgrades, configures systems, evaluates and installs patches, and resolves complex problems
  • Coordinates with appropriate team(s) to apply software updates
  • Monitors system configuration and automation scripts to ensure system stability
  • Ensures the effective, secure and regulatory compliant operations and administration of complex infrastructure resources, and consistent integrity of information
  • Provides oversight of hardware and software operations and maintenance support
  • Supports the development of system backups and recovery processes
  • Provides advanced customer support with advanced diagnostics and by collaborating to solve problems. Documents all pertinent problem-related information through to final resolution
  • Participates in the design of disaster/system recovery and testing, when applicable
  • Influences teams and stakeholders to achieve objectives; communicates how infrastructure work drives value for the business
  • Manages stakeholder relationships to ensure successful deployment of updates, problem solving and ongoing system management
  • Collaborates with other Digital departments to provide problem resolution and excellent service to user community, and helps set service level expectation
  • Researches new developments and trends in the computer industry to maintain professional expertise in order to support technology roadmap
  • Provide off hours support, as needed, and the ability to adhere to rigorous Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Provide hands on support for audio visual technologies currently deployed in Missouri, including: Microsoft Teams Room systems, Crestron Room Control systems, various audio systems for two way and one way communications, Digital Signage, etc.
  • Interface with business partners to identify, document and resolve issues and concerns
  • Provide local support for Facilities and Digital projects
  • Provide white-glove support for executive meetings and events
  • Assist in development of Audio Visual and Collaboration standards for facilities integrated technologies
  • Assist in the development of training documentation, and provide training as needed.

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree required, preferably in computer science or related field
  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Will consider candidates without a degree if they show/demonstrate having 2+ additional years of equivalent, relevant experience in tools, systems and initiatives leveraged by Ameren
  • Certification in Comptia A+, Comptia Network+, and/or Cisco CCENT preferred

In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Knowledge of infrastructure, operating systems, telecommunications networks, and specialized systems administration
  • Knowledge of the definition, design, and implementation of network communications and solutions
  • Knowledge of current system administration tools and scripting languages
  • Thorough knowledge of Ameren software applications to diagnose and repair problems
  • Ability to climb ladders up to 12' tall
  • Ability to lift 40lbs
  • Familiarity with network and audio wiring
  • Deep understanding and knowledge of general AV signal flow
  • Knowledge and troubleshooting skills related to Microsoft Teams
  • Knowledge and troubleshooting skills related to Microsoft Hub Devices
  • Knowledge and troubleshooting skills related to Crestron Microsoft Teams Room technology
