OPERATIONS SPECIALIST REVENUE CYCLE

The Operational Coordinator oversees the Montefiore Einstein Advanced Care (MEAC) revenue cycle processes and provides operational guidance to the vendor on key functions related to front end, revenue integrity and billing. They are responsible for ensuring timely response by the vendor to accounts receivables issues, customer service issues and all matters related to billing. This role is expected to develop key KPIs and ensure the vendors performance is meeting expectations. They are responsible for responding to audits and report requests from external and internal auditing bodies.

Education/Skills:

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Associates degree or equivalent in Economics/Statistics, Finance, Business Management, Finance, Healthcare administration or a related field required.

2. Bachelors degree preferred.

3. 3 to 5 years of related health care administration/financial or revenue cycle analysis experience.

4. Experience in financial analysis, budgeting, business and process analysis, working knowledge of third party reimbursement is required.

5. Strong analytical skills and excellent communication skills required.

6. Knowledge of managed care terminologies and ability to interpret hospital bills, explanation of benefits, and medical records.

7. Strong computer and systems application skills. Has solid knowledge of Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

8. Exhibits a customer-service orientation; anticipates, understands and addresses customer needs in a timely manner.

9. Works in a collaborative environment supporting multiple stakeholders including the budget office, financial reporting, health services receivables, and managed care contracting departments.
