Job Summary

The Operations Specialty Associate II is focused on plan life-cycle events and works closely with Client Management Services to provide daily administration of all types of Retirement Plans. Responsible for the reviewing, interpreting and updating of complex plan maintenance changes. Responsible as an individual and as a member of a team for the overall quality of service provided to internal and external customers and must prioritize workload in compliance with established turnaround times and deadlines.

This position will be called upon to assist with training team members and to assist with team projects, initiatives, and active ownership of assigned duties. Should demonstrate an in-depth knowledge and mastery of all plan life-cycle events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Basic plan document knowledge and the ability to expand skills and abilities. An ambitious team player and self-starter. Focused on operationally supporting required reporting and ongoing plan maintenance requests throughout a fiscal year for all types of Retirement Plans.
  • Independent management of assigned case load and providing assistance to co-workers when needed. Adhere to regulatory and department standards/guidelines with assigned tasks.
  • Pro-actively analyze and identify solutions to complex tasks. Collaborate with other OneAmerica teams as needed to provide a positive customer experience.
  • Quality checking completed transactions based on the auditing requirements provided by SOC1.
  • Additional functions that support the operational team - Including reporting, metric gathering, analyzing SLAs, follow-up, and communication with other departments.
  • Reference documented procedures and additional resources to accurately complete requests.
  • Performs other special projects or research work assigned by management. Facilitate meetings and communicate updates with identified parties. Assists with internal and external audits.

Job Requirements

  • 4-year degree, or 2-year degree and 2 years' experience, or 4 years related experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in retirement plan servicing is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrates effective analytical skills.
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to handle a heavy caseload and can prioritize one's work.
  • Ability to meet established turnaround times and adhere to department accuracy standards.
  • Possess strong math, accounting, and analytical abilities.
  • Willing to work hours needed to complete the assigned tasks.
  • Or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.

Salary Band: 03B

This selected candidate will be expected to work hybrid in Indianapolis, IN. The candidate will also be expected to physically return to the office in CA, IN or ME as business needs dictate or for team-building and collaboration.
