Operations Strategy Associate

In your role as an Operations Strategy Associate, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies that may span across areas in Strategy & Operations including Product Originations, Servicing, Collections and Recoveries. Additionally, core to the responsibility of each member of the Operations Strategy team is to continually challenge the status quo to ensure optimization of all processes that support the full customer lifecycle - your work will have a direct impact on the bottom line of the business.

What you do at Avant:

• Coordinate with department leaders and business stakeholders to better understand objectives to ensure that operational processes align with product and business goals
• Manage initiatives that focus on process optimization; implement strategies and systems improvements to support operations strategy.
• Utilize data to identify opportunities, assess root case and problem solve issues
• Own end-to-end execution of initiatives and opportunities from identification and initial assessment through to recommendation and implementation
• Oversee and assist with testing and deployment of new capabilities and support post-implementation monitoring and incident management
• Ensure systems and processes are well documented
• Ensure operational readiness for all implementations, technology, and process changes.
• Own and/or oversee the execution and ongoing management of strategic deliverables set forth by Leadership
• Define, build, analyze KPI reports and dashboards to identify trends and opportunities.
• Contributes to risk assessments and drives actions to address the root causes that persistently lead to operational risk losses by challenging both historical and proposed practices
• Ensures the Operations Team is in compliance with all regulatory policies and procedures
• Utilize SQL, R, Python for the purpose of data querying, monitoring and data visualization

• BA/BS in an analytical field of study
• BA/BS degree in Fields such as Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Information Management or Mathematics
• 4+ years of experience with driving new projects, balancing business needs vs. technical constraints, and coordinating across cross-functional teams

• Must be highly organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple projects and possess strong interpersonal, organizational, and analytic skills
