Celtic Bank is growing and is ready to add an Operations Support Specialist to our C&I group. As a C&I (Commercial & Industrial Lending) Operations Support Specialist, you will work with existing team members and customers to complete objectives in a rapidly growing and changing lending environment.

In addition, as an Operations Support Specialist you will be involved in the management of a portfolio of commercial lending relationships, including review and monitoring of financial statements. You will assist with loan underwriting due diligence, closings, and boarding.

WHAT YOU'LL DO AT CELTIC BANK

  • Daily collection/payment posting and collaboration with accounting team.
  • Analyze and review primarily accounts receivable and inventory collateral, but also including secondary involvement with real estate or other fixed assets.
  • Compile reports related to collateral and financial tracking of commercial borrowers and guarantors.
  • Manage portfolio of specialty Main Street Lending relationships, including financial reporting tracking and submission of financial data and quarterly settlements to Federal Reserve.
  • Assist department with business development functions.
  • Manage department projects while collaborating with leadership.
  • Mail sorting and forwarding, FedEx or USPS shipping, etc.
  • Other broad range of duties as assigned (this is a small team and team member must be willing and able to frequently perform tasks outside of the employee's "primary" responsibilities).

Requirements

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO DO IT

  • Previous teller, consumer or commercial lending/banking, or a combination of work experience and education
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with a strong emphasis on Excel skills.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills, including using the telephone to interact with customers and other stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to make assertive and logical decisions.
  • Self-starter and ability to assume initiative to create forms, procedures, and other processes.
  • Resourcefulness in solving issues as they arise.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Previous experience as a paralegal in commercial lending, preferred.
  • Experience with Laserpro or other loan documentation systems is a plus.

Physical and Other Requirements

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.   • Stationary Work: The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to type, handle documents, and perform other office related duties.   • Mobility: The employee in this position needs to occasionally move between work sites and inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Communicate: The employee is regularly required to talk or hear and will frequently communicate with others. Must be able to read, write and understand fluent English.
  • Work Model: The employee will work either a fully Onsite, Hybrid or Remote work model. All employees, regardless of location, may be required to travel to the Salt Lake City office for mandatory company meetings, events, or related occasions.
    • Utah-based employees: Hybrid work schedule available after initial training period in our Salt Lake City, Utah office - department and job requirements will determine eligibility.
