What we need:
Provide operations and administrative support to manufacturing managers. Follows documented procedures and processing standards to perform duties related to operations, administrative and customer service support to ensure thoroughness, accuracy, and completeness. Performs duties under general supervision, seeking advice and direction to respond to non-routine issues. Seeks advice and direction to respond to non-routine issues and refers more complex issues to senior team members for resolution.
What you'll do:
- Provide assistance to Plant Manager by compiling information into report format
- Prepare and issue weekly and monthly reports based on information provided by Managers and data acquired from system
- Maintain outside Lab reports and results; update appropriate files with information
- Prepares reports for carpet specification changes; may update information in system
- Maintain ISO procedures manual
- Maintain multiple data reports and compile information for management meetings
- Performs other related duties as required
What you have:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalency and one-year college or technical school certification
- Proficient on PC (working knowledge of AS400, Excel, Word)
- Must possess good communication skills with a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Knowledge of and ability to perform basic math calculations.
- 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of carpet material and components
- Knowledge of or ability to learn Company brands and product information required to perform essential functions of the job
- Knowledge of commonly used quality assurance concepts, practices, and procedures
What else:
- Accurate data entry skills with the ability to multi-task
- Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Must be detail oriented and have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must have computer skills in Word, Excel, AS400, Lotus Notes and internet
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure and compute rates
- Position requires a high degree of organizational skills and ability to follow planning parameters
- Perform duties under minimal supervision
- Ability to communicate with internal and external contacts as well as trucking companies and customers to communicate schedules, hauling and delivering of loads
- Must be a team player
- Schedule will be Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 3:00pm.
