DESCRIPTION:
The Operations Systems Specialist – Managed Wi-Fi assists with the implementation, administration, modification, and evaluation of critical Windsor initiatives including the Managed Wi-Fi program.  The Operations Systems Specialist creates processes, policies, procedures, and training materials to ensure efficacy, compatibility, user effectiveness and efficiency. The key responsibilities include working with various departments, project teams and property/regional teams to assist with implementation and ongoing support of the Managed Wi-Fi program and potentially other Windsor initiatives to ensure these solutions meet defined requirements and objectives. This position is a remote position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deep knowledge of current systems applications and products. Perform as a liaison between end users and third-party solution team. 
  • Provide support for operations specific systems applications and products. 
  • Assist with collection of property specific details and complete data entry as required for implementations.
  • Assist with implementation verification, testing, and documentation.
  • Coordination of property requests and questions to ensure they are routed to the correct team for resolution.
  • Assist with Policy and Procedure audit for related documents and revise, sunset, or identify gaps where a new SOP/Policy is needed in relation to the solution.
  • Serve as the point of contact both externally and internally for specified operations systems applications and products.
  • Identify, route, and track urgent matters to third party contacts for resolution. 
  • Participate in the onboarding of new property acquisitions of those systems. 
  • Test all software updates in isolated systems simulations for efficacy.
  • Communicate to business stakeholder’s new product features and changes.
  • Review, Analyze and evaluate user needs to create systems solutions that support overall business strategies.
  • Identify inefficiencies and other bugs to be flushed out as well as opportunities for improvement. Find and develop solutions and answers to user’s difficulties, determine the technical and operational feasibility of the solutions.
  • Identify all current and potential failures. Monitor and recommend improvements to software and business systems. 
  • Accurately log all technology developments, customizations, or changes in company records to be utilized in future projects.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications; establishing professional networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. 

Specific Duties and Responsibilities for Managed Wi-Fi

  • Develop a deep knowledge of Managed Wi-Fi program and the current systems, applications, and vendors. Develop and refine processes, workflows, and documentation for the Wi-Fi program.  
  • Primary point of contact for property and regional teams for all program related matters and entire life cycle of the program (including pre-construction, construction, launch, post-launch).
  • Liaison between property/regional teams and 3rd party Wi-Fi vendors to answer questions and resolve issues.  Include appropriate team members as needed.
  • Liaison between GID/Windsor teams including Legal, Acquisitions, Marketing, IT, Business Intelligence, Training & Development to ensure alignment and efficient communication and reporting.
  • Manage and lead all regularly scheduled (e.g. weekly) property calls and vendor calls.   Collaborate with Wi-Fi vendor to maintain an up-to-date project plan and open items list.
  • Assist with budgets including monitoring invoice payment, ramp-up schedules, and changes to vendor’s SOW.
  • Collaborate with Marketing team to ensure all property related marketing materials are created to support the launch and ongoing success of Managed Wi-Fi on property. 
Compensation starting at: $90,000 annually, which includes base salary and bonus potential.
 
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or five years of experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working in property management environment is preferred. Experience with property management software. Knowledge of Microsoft Office. Familiar with Help Desk software programs. General understanding of database management. Strong knowledge of Smartsheets.
