Controls or operates machinery or equipment to assist with manufacturing, packaging, and other steps along a production line. May be expected to handle heavy machinery.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participate in the EMS to ensure meeting all regulatory compliance and pollution prevention.
• Perform in-process analytical testing as assigned, analyze in-process test results, and apply appropriate corrective actions.
• Perform routine running and preventive maintenance work as assigned.
• Maintain all necessary records and provide a detailed summary of the shift in logbooks, including but not limited to safety, quality, mechanical problems/repairs, and process changes.
• Review with oncoming shift operator a detailed summary of the shift including but not limited to safety, quality, mechanical problems/repairs, and process changes.
• Maintain a high level of housekeeping in assigned work area, including process testing labs, and elsewhere as assigned.
• Has qualified to operate eight (8) of the process units.
• Be trained and qualified in all functions of the Operator III classification.
• Perform all other work as assigned by supervision.

REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Good time management skills
• Mechanical aptitude
• Safety oriented
