Ophthalmology Opportunities

Summa Health is seeking board certified/board eligible Ophthalmologists to join our employed physician group. The selected candidate will become a member of Summa Health Medical Group, a multi-specialty group practice of 400+ physicians employed by the Summa Health System. At Summa Health, we offer high quality ophthalmic medical and surgical care to meet the community’s needs. We pride ourselves on offering comprehensive care, but in an intimate and personalized setting. We are able to support General/Comprehensive, Glaucoma, and Retina subspecialties at this time. Our Ophthalmology Clinic is located at our main campus in Akron, 75 Arch St.

Options for Scheduling: these options below can be modified to fit your professional goals.

Schedule 1:

• 3 weeks in the Ophthalmology Clinic
  • Will be in surgeries during clinic week
  • 2 surgery days – surgery centers are located at Akron and Medina (volume dependent)
• 1 week of call

Schedule 2:

• Call Only Schedule
• 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off

Candidate Requirements

• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Ophthalmology
• Unrestricted Ohio License or willingness to obtain
• Commitment to quality care in a patient centered, team-based environment
