Ops Eng II-ST
Job Description
The Operations Engineer II is critical to ensure related changes meet the business need / objective, ensure it is clearly defined and a full end-to-end solution has been identified, agreed and understood by the impacted IT teams as well as the business users.
What you will do here:
Responsible for ensuring that daily Job Processing (scheduling, system backups, posting files) on the Core Processor is successfully completed in order to support the business objectives of the organization.
Monitors daily, weekly, monthly processes and job routines to ensure seamless operations for the Credit Union and its membership across enterprise applications
Administer enterprise scheduling and system monitoring tools to manage the DSFCU computing environment including infrastructure, ATMs, messaging and enterprise applications.
Manages and communicates escalate issues / exceptions in a timely fashion to senior engineering staff and IT Management. Provides management reporting to measure and demontrate processes and job are completed accurately and timely according to service level agreements.
Provides on call support to support the DSFCU enterprise. Provides technical support for the core processing system including any interruptions to operational service.
Responsible for all maintenance activity associated with the Core Processor including such activities as data updates, end of day processing, end of month processing and ACH processing.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned
What you will need:
Education: H.S. Diploma or GED
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree degree in Computer Science
Preferred: 4+ Years related work experience in lieu of degree
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including, but not limited to, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Database (queries), reporting and system monitoring; Process / procedure development and adherence, diagramming, implementation and improvement.
IBM System Knowledge
Effective and clear communication skills including open and direct verbal communication, clear and concise business writing, effective presentation skills, and good listening skills
