Ops Intermediate Specialist Foreign Exchange Trade Initiation

POSITION SUMMARY

BBH Service Delivery Markets Group provides global support for FX Trading, Securities Lending and Mutual Fund Services activities of the Firm. The Ops Intrmed Specl - Markets is part of the Asia Markets team and will perform support functions across disciplines with particular emphasis placed on supporting our non-Japan Asia client base.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Transaction Processing

• Supporting the Hong Kong Markets group activities as it pertains to FX Trade Support, Securities Lending Operations and general Mutual Funds activities
• Act as the focal point person between the Hong Kong Markets desk and regional Markets Services teams especially Tokyo
• Act as a liaison for BBH's Asian-emerging market sub-custodians in the timely and accurate execution of deals in those markets
• Responsibilities include trade entry, compensations, and position checks
• Work closely with eCommerce, Marketing, and Data Security teams to set up new clients/users for trading on eCommerce platforms
• Respond to internal and external client service requests
• Ensure the accurate and timely processing of transactions related to all Trading and Markets Products

2. Quality Control/Assurance

• Ensuring daily output standards, both quality and timeliness, are met
• Assisting management in ensuring proper product delivery, proper escalation and resolution of high exposure items, maintaining the proper balance of cost, control and client service (3Cs), and maintaining proper standards and controls
• Identifying, escalate, and assist in resolving workflow issues
• Build relationships at all levels both within and outside the organization
• Communicating professionally and constructively to effectively resolve issues in order to minimize risk and exposure
• Ensuring adherence to all established policies, procedures and controls
• Ensure that we are the top service quality provider in the Trading and Markets product
• Act as a risk control agent in the Trading and Market services arena

3. Client Service

• Partner with all groups where Markets has a presence including Boston, London, and Hong Kong to provide consistent operational support across all Trading and Markets products
• Be familiar with department, firm and industry initiatives affecting our clients
• Gain sufficient knowledge to anticipate questions and/or issues raised by our clients
• Build relationships at all levels
• Support local CSG and RMs in managing client queries and escalations.
• Subject Matter Expertise to assist in attracting and retaining Trading and Markets clients
• Manage Client On-Boarding, conversion planning and scheduling as well as hosting internal systems and applications training

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Education level and/or relevant experience(s)

• BS/BA degree
• 2+ years of relevant work experience; FX, Mutual Funds, Securities Lending or related Financial Services experience preferred but not essential

Knowledge and skills (general and technical)

• Strong communication skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize volume
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Proactive approach to daily work and ability to handle multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines
• Strong client service skills
• Strong attention to detail
• MS Office proficiency required-included MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Access.

Salary Range

$60,000 - $75,000

BBH's compensation program includes base salary, discretionary bonuses, and profit-sharing. The anticipated base salary range(s) shown above are only for the indicated location(s) and may differ in other locations due to cost of living and labor considerations. Base salaries may vary based on factors such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.
