Join us as an Operations Intermediate Specialist - FX Trade Initiation

POSITION SUMMARY

The Operations Intermediate Specialist - FX Trade Initiation is responsible for assisting the NY Foreign Exchange RM's in processing trades and ensuring NY trader positions are accurately updated.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Transaction Processing
  • Support various eCommerce initiatives
  • Act as the focal point person between the FX NY, Tokyo & London RM's and the various post-execution units, including Confirmations, Settlements and Investigations.
  • Responsibilities include trade entry, compensations, and position checks
  • Work closely with eCommerce, Marketing, and Data Security teams to set up new clients/users for trading on eCommerce platforms.
  • Respond to internal and external client service requests with respect to FX reconciliation, discrepancies, and investigations.
  • Monitor open FX hedge contracts and ensuring proper settlement. * Monitor any technical issues with FX systems and portal and working with Systems Support team to quickly resolve.
  • Participate in making process improvements within the FX Trade Initiation Unit and seeing improvements through to completion.
  • Monitor and liaise the Emerging Market currency process with the SI team in NY.


2. Quality Control/Assurance
  • Open and maintain third-party FX accounts Department Head/FX RM approval and update client account master list and BBH FX master account list.
  • Liaise with FX Risk Group and Compliance on the approval of opening third party accounts.
  • Provide scheduled and ad hoc reporting to FX Trading and InServ as necessary on open trades, client volumes, and passive hedge trades.


3. Client Service
  • Call clients and CSG to reconfirm details on Fax orders


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • BS/BA degree
  • 6 to 12 months FX Operations, Derivatives or related Financial Services experience preferred but not essential
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize volume
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Proactive approach to daily work and ability to handle multiple responsibilities
  • Ability to communicate professionally with others
  • Strong client service skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • MS Office proficiency required-included MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Access.

BBH's compensation program includes base salary, discretionary bonuses, and profit-sharing. The anticipated base salary range for this role is $55000 to $70000, which is specific to New York, NY/New Jersey and may differ in other locations due to cost of living and labor considerations. Base salaries may vary based on factors such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.
