Optimization Consultant, Decision Support
Job Description
How you'll make an impact:As an Optimization Consultant on our Decision Support team, you will be an expert in supporting our clients using the Decision Support solution of our software, StrataJazz®. Decision Support is rated #1 in KLAS and is known as the "gold standard" for understanding cost and margins. You will partner directly with and provide guidance to key team members and executive stakeholders at the largest health systems in the world. The responsibilities of this role include:
- Support significant components of StrataJazz®, specific to Cost Accounting, Contract Analytics, Service Line Margin Analytics, Strategic Pricing, and Episode Analytics at multiple hospitals/ health systems across the country
- Build strong relationships with customers actively using the StrataJazz® Decision Support solution and deliver a best-in-class experience
- Identify where current configuration of our product does not align with customer's business needs or our best practice approach and provide recommendations to guide our customers toward this alignment
- Help customers define their business and technical requirements for StrataJazz® and work as a trusted advisor to implement best practices in the Decision Support solution
- Meaningfully contribute to operational improvement and strategic growth projects to enable Strata to continue to scale operations and continually improve our level of service to customers
- Communicate proactively with Strata team members, account managers, and executives on issues and risks that may arise during the product life cycle. Develop and execute action plans to mitigate risks proactively
- Work in an Agile environment and learn one of the most widely used and effective methodologies for building and implementing high quality, feature-rich software.
- Professional experience working in operational finance, FP&A, financial decision support, or a similar setting preferably in the Healthcare Industry (e.g., CPT Diagnosis Codes or DRGs)
- Professional experience with writing and troubleshooting complex T-SQL queries
- Professional experience in relational database concepts
- Ability to communicate with all levels of an organization in a clear and articulate way
- Minimum of two years' experience working in consulting / technical client support role
