About the role

The AIG Travel Rapid Lab team manages AIG Travel's global direct to consumer businesses including travelguard.com in the US. We also work with our global travel partners to serve optimized travel insurance experiences directly within their purchase paths for increased client conversion and satisfaction.

The Optimization Front End Developer, works with our marketing team, data scientists and UX experts to design and test digital experiences that resonate with our clients. The role has a direct impact on the success of our testing programs and the measurable results achieved.

The incumbent will be experienced in front end web design and development including java, CSS, HTML. Prior experience in advanced testing is an advantage.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with the Marketing, UX and Data Science teams to ideate testing opportunities
  • Leads feasibility analysis for new test design concepts
  • Creates and updates experiences, optimization rules. (Includes Html, CSS and JavaScript updates) directly within global travel partner purchase paths
  • Creates and updates experiences, optimization rules etc. (Includes Html, CSS and JavaScript updates) within AIG Travel's owned direct to consumer applications around the world.
  • Aligns AIG Rapid Learning Lab and the travel partners' requirements (for example partner brand and experience guidelines) to deliver best use of technologies for optimized user experience and conversion.
  • Business subject matter expert on AIG's Optimization toolset and other owned digital tools as necessary providing first level support to Rapid Learning Lab team in utilizing the tools available
  • Leads UAT and QA activities with travel partners to ensure accurate representation of AIG products and services in all variations on the travel partners digital infrastructure. Sample tasks may include validating content, functionality, device-responsiveness, WCAG compliance, in addition to confirm optimization rules for each audience segment.
  • Manages a small team of offshore resources providing guidance on prototype build.
  • Implementation of marketing and web analytics tracking tags via Adobe Experience Platform Data Collection (Adobe Launch) and Adobe Analytics
  • Building HTML microsite prototypes for sales team for potential new partners presentations.
  • Collaborate with UX designer to ensure all design requirements are feasible with website CMS templates and components.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Hands-on business side experience with website content management systems (e.g., Adobe Experience Manager)
  • Extensive design knowledge in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and bootstrap.
  • Experience in working with data layers for web analytics and tracking
  • Prior experience of Multi variant testing tools and practices. (e.g., Adobe Target, Optimizely, Google Optimize)
  • Exceptional organizational, presentation, and communication skills - both verbal and written.
  • Must be self-managed, responsive, and dedicated to customer support.
  • Knowledge of responsive design, device / browser compatibility, and WCAG / ADA guidelines.
  • High level of attention to detail - Accuracy of the user experience and optimization tests have the highest importance.
  • Solid decision-making and problem-solving skills; ability to successfully manage and prioritize multiple concurrent projects
  • Demonstrated ability to deal with change and be a team player

Nice to have

  • Prior experience in the travel or financial services industry
  • Knowledge of 1 or more Adobe digital marketing tools (Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Target, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Experience Platform Data Collection (Adobe Launch), etc.)
