Job Description

The US Brand & Marketing Manager plays an instrumental role for Optiver US (inclusive of Optiver UK) in partnership with the larger global Optiver team. In this role, you will apply your expert ability to engage a range of internal and external audiences, acting as a brand ambassador for all of Optiver’s marketing assets. The role requires a strategic approach as well as hands-on execution. The Brand and Marketing Manager will report into Optiver US Chief People Officer and will be guided by the Group Head of Marketing and Communications as the company establishes marketing and communications departments across its global offices. The function is primarily focused on attracting and retaining talent to the Optiver US offices through the use of branding and marketing, while providing select marketing services to Institutional Trading and the Principle Strategic Investments (PSI) teams.

What you’ll do:

  • Maintain and strengthen the Optiver brand using strategic internal and external branding and marketing.
  • Take responsibility for improving our brand positioning within the HFT, Prop Trading, Technology and Finance space in the US.  
  • In partnership with the Group Head of Marketing and Communications and in consultation with regional stakeholders in recruitment, HR, Institutional Trading and Principle Strategic Investments, devise and execute end-to-end marketing strategies and brand campaigns for the region.
  • Work closely with the regional communications manager who is responsible for internal communications, PR and recruitment content development.
  • Mentor and manage a digital marketing coordinator whose primary focus is recruitment marketing.
  • Work closely with global creative lead and global external creative agency to ensure all regional marketing is according to global guidelines.
  • Develop a network of local suppliers to ensure top quality design, photography and video production to be used in marketing campaigns.
  • Responsible for paid media across all digital channels, with the support of an external agency and Global Head of Digital.
  • Responsible for experiential marketing and branding to engage recruitment candidates at university and industry events
  • Collaborate with Communications Manager to develop rich media content (written, video, photography, etc.)

 Who you are:

  • Bachelors/Master’s degree in a relevant field of study 
  • 10-15 years’ experience in marketing and branding
  • Strategic thinking abilities and able to challenge the status quo
  • Articulate and confident communication skills to interact with multiple stakeholders at all levels
  • Results-driven and able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Highly organised, structured and able to multi-task with ease
  • Sense of ethical responsibility and trustworthiness in order to handle highly sensitive and confidential information with professionalism
