Oracle APEX Developer
Job Description
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experiencedApplication Administrator, Oracle APEXfor a contract-to-hire role in San Antonio, Texas. The Application Administrator will support the development, implementation, and maintenance of custom web applications using Oracle APEX. This role includes designing secure, user-friendly solutions, managing backend programming, coordinating with stakeholders, and providing ongoing support for internal systems and services.
Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain Oracle APEX applications. Manage software application development, perform backend SQL/PLSQL programming, and configure Oracle APEX environments. Design user-friendly, secure, and efficient web applications using JavaScript, CSS, Ajax, and jQuery. Integrate JSON/REST web services and ensure proper database administration and data normalization. Collaborate with Agile teams to improve development efficiency, transparency, and stakeholder engagement. Interact extensively with the user community for requirements gathering, post-implementation support, and technical guidance. Troubleshoot, analyze, and solve technical problems while managing multiple development tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree with 6–9 years of experience in web application development
• 3–5 years of Oracle APEX development experience
• 5 years of SQL/PLSQL backend programming experience
• Experience managing software application development
• Proficiency in JavaScript, CSS, Ajax, and jQuery
• Knowledge of JSON/REST web services
• Knowledge of database administration, data normalization, and Oracle APEX configuration management
• Experience applying Agile project management principles and practices
Preferred Qualifications:
• Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
• Experience interacting with end users for requirements gathering and post-implementation support
• Ability to effectively share technical information and contribute to design and development
• Self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced Rapid Application Development environment
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to adapt to new technologies and handle multiple development tasks simultaneously
