Technology : Oracle APEX/PLSQL

Position Summary : The candidate should have experience in performing production support activities including, and not limited to, maintaining system configurations, data cleanup, developing custom code, testing, filing/resolving service requests, and estimating enhancements.

Responsibilities

• The group manages a set of APEX Applications and additionally supports Java and Robot process automations and background processes which facilitate enterprise integration
• A successful candidate will have demonstrated a track record of working on mission-critical applications, delivering quality solutions and providing high value to customers in a fast-paced environment
• Conceptualize design, implement, and develop solutions for complex system/programs independently
• Document system builds and application configurations; maintain and update documentation as needed
• Provide technical analysis, design, development, conversion, and implementation work
• Work as a project leader, as needed, for projects of moderate complexity
• Serve as a technical resource for applications
• Compare, evaluate, and implement new features and technologies, and integrate them into the computing environment
• Follow team software development methodology
• Mentor lower-level software developers

Required Qualifications

• The position requires a solid background in Oracle PL/SQL, Oracle Application Express - APEX and Java
• Experience with developing and deploying applications in Oracle APEX
• Experience with working on Oracle databases
• Experience with structured programming related to SQL is a must (like Oracle PL/SQL)
• Experience with building web services using REST
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and programming tools
• Demonstrated experience in designing, developing, testing, and deploying applications
• Strong understanding of data design, architecture, relational databases, and data modeling
• Thorough understanding of all aspects of software development life cycle and quality control practices
• Ability to define and solve logical problems for highly technical applications
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
• Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical clients
• Demonstrated experience with structured team development projects

Salary and Other Compensation:

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
