POSITION OVERVIEW

The Oracle Application Database Administrator II is responsible for daily operations of mission critical applications and databases, including the maintenance, uptime, and performance of ERP and business processes.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Design, create and implement database systems based on end user requirements.
• Manage database backup processes and recovery activities.
• Perform provisioning of database access and security implementation.
• Perform database and application patching as defined by vendors while adhering to internal change management process requirements.
• Perform instance cloning for testing and validation purposes.
• Install and manage Oracle EBS Apps and Middleware technology products.
• Perform Oracle EBS System Administration activities.
• Independently analyze and correct issues in real time to provide end-to-end problem resolutions.
• Provide on-call 24/7 support for mission critical production systems.
• Monitor production systems and perform system tuning as needed.
• Work with IT infrastructure on administration of operation systems.
• Assist with developing and maintaining data security processes.
• Manage small to medium IT Department projects as needed.
• Perform cloud infrastructure and applications provisioning and support.
• Other duties as assigned.

WHAT TO BRING

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field or a combination of equivalent education and relevant work experience.
• 5-10 years of Oracle database administration experience.
• 5-10 years of Oracle EBS Application and middleware administration experience.
• Ability and availability to work nonstandard hours and/or holidays as needed.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

WHAT WILL HELP

• Proficiency in LINUX - Oracle Enterprise / Red Hat Linux.
• Disaster recovery (HA/DR) methodology experience.
• Oracle Enterprise Manager experience.
• Oracle SOA experience.
