Your Opportunity
We are looking for an Oracle Functional Developer to be part of the evolution and enhancement of our Oracle Business Intelligence Application (OBIA) dashboards and reporting, with specific focus on the Projects area. The applicant should have experience with Oracle EBS Projects and exposure to Oracle BI Dashboard development.
As an Oracle Functional Developer, you will collaborate with the working groups, business analysts and technical development teams to gain a deep understanding of requirements; perform functional analysis, and work with the technical development team on the appropriate design of subject areas, dashboards, and BIP reporting required to meet the needs of the business.
This role will primarily oversee all requests for enhancements and improvements to the BI Projects dashboards and reporting, and design functional solutions as the subject matter expert in OBIA Projects area. The Functional Developer will provide an interactive gateway with end user groups on helping align business processes with all integrated Project applications, adopt best practices and keep abreast of Oracle BI relevant module enhancements, direction and updates.
The successful candidate can be based in any one of our Stantec offices located North America.

Post-secondary degree/diploma in business, information systems or related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in Oracle e-Business Projects.

Your Key Responsibilities
- Recommend Oracle BI functionality and capabilities to help meet new business requirements, improve existing reporting, or address issues in reporting.
- Develop functional design documents and maintain solution library in collaboration with developers and other analysts.
- Contribute to the end-to-end delivery of dashboard solutions along with developers, testers, database administrators, and application support analysts.
- Monitor, analyze, and coordinate testing of application patches/upgrades.
- Work closely with quality assurance analysts to develop and execute appropriate test strategies/plans.
- Work closely with Business Analysts to understand business requirements and present/discuss solutions with the business.
- Assist in the development of communication and training materials for end users.
- Deliver training and demonstrations as required.
- Provide post-implementation support to the technical and functional operations support teams.
- Work collaboratively with the management team to assist them in managing priorities, resources and cross project dependencies.
Qualifications

- Experience in a systems analyst, software development and/or system implementation role.
- Involvement in one or more major upgrades and/or module implementation projects.
- Creative problem solver with good understanding of Projects and Financial business processes.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Highly self-motivated and directed.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Functional experience with Oracle EBS Projects and exposure to Oracle BI Dashboard development.
Education and Experience
