Oracle Senior Project/Program Manager

Your Role and Responsibilities
The specialized Oracle Senior Project/Program Manager is responsible for leading the implementation of robust integrated business solutions and the successful delivery of multi-phase project and program plans to multiple stakeholder groups across Canada.

At IBM our Senior Project/Program Managers work closely with the Oracle services practice to deliver complex Oracle programs and solutions across many industries. This role calls for an acquaintance and familiarity in multi-dimensional sectors and expertise in cloud computing services and tools. The key to success is the ability to work with teams whose members are dispersed worldwide and the know-how to deal with different time zones and cultures and to partner with our clients to deliver high-quality solutions.

The successful candidate will have strong managerial and communications skills with a history of successfully delivering Oracle projects/programs valued in excess of $20M. Experience managing full end to end Oracle projects leveraging proven methodology is a requirement.

Responsibilities include:

• Manage large scale business transformation projects.
• Define monitor and deliver on project scope schedule milestones budget Statement of Work and deliverables that support the business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
• Develop work plans manage deadlines and coordinate project team and sub-team activities to ensure successful delivery of in scope requirements
• Provide direction to project personnel and a framework for project planning communications and reporting
• Lead and organize cross-functional teams in the development of integrated business processes and implementation of project deliverables with an emphasis on quality productivity and consistency
• Identify and manage project dependencies resources and critical path.
• Manage diverse groups of stakeholders.
• Maintain effective and regular communication including status and project vision with all stakeholders and overall account team on all project related matter.
• Estimate project skill requirements and work with the IBM practice to identify appropriate resources and manage their integration into the team
• Define and agree on deliverable acceptance criteria and key milestone dates with the client
• Overall team management including execution of regular evaluations
• Risk management
• Travel will be required and is based on business demands

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Direct experience managing Oracle projects – Fusion Cloud project experience is a requirement
• Working knowledge of current Oracle Project Management methodologies.
• Proven experience of 5+ years in large-scale complex IT project management business transformations and systems implementation with a track record of success (on-time on-budget goals met).
• Ability to work in a multi-functional team environment with rapidly changing priorities.
• Deep knowledge and understanding of Oracle tool sets project management approaches tools and techniques for gaining the cooperation and support of stakeholders.
• Demonstrated client management and relationship management skills and ability to liaise with Senior Leadership.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Flexibility to work across different Canadian time zones.
• Previous consulting experience.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Project Management degree (PMI certification) highly desirable
• Oracle Certification is an asset
