Job Title: Sr. Division Order Analyst IV – Outside Operated Properties

Location:Woodlands, TX (Office-Based, Onsite)

Contract Type: Contract
Work Schedule: 9/80 (Monday - Friday, every other Friday off)
Max Pay Rate: $52.46/hour

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Division Order Analyst IV to join our team. This position primarily focuses on the analysis, maintenance, and accurate distribution of oil and gas proceeds and collection of well expenses for Outside Operated Properties. The role requires an in-depth understanding of division order processes, ownership interests, and legal documentation associated with oil and gas properties. The ideal candidate will possess division order maintenance experience, have a keen attention to detail, and be adept at collaborating with various departments.

  • Review and Monitor Well Reports: Analyze reports for assigned geographic area to ensure accurate ownership and financial data.
  • Software/System Familiarity: Learn and become proficient with company systems and software.
  • Well Set-Up Support: Assist in the setup of operated and non-operated wells, ensuring proper documentation and ownership details are captured.
  • Ownership Changes: Perform and track basic ownership changes as part of ongoing operations.
  • Special Projects: Support departmental projects such as acquisitions and divestitures, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
  • Payment Disbursements: Prepare division orders, supplemental division orders, and transfer orders to facilitate accurate payment disbursements.
  • Review Title Documentation: Examine title opinions and related legal documents to verify ownership and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Interpretation of Legal Documents: Analyze and interpret leases, division orders, contracts, deeds, title opinions, probate, and assignments.
  • Title/Ownership Issue Resolution: Assist in identifying title or ownership issues and recommend appropriate resolution steps.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with team members and cross-functional departments to resolve discrepancies and improve processes.
  • Educational Development: Participate in both internal and external training events to stay up to date on industry trends and best practices.
  • Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with internal teams, external owners, vendors, and customers.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Experience: A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in division order maintenance, title analysis, or a related role.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Quorum Land System/SAP is a plus.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage complex data.
  • Land Knowledge: General understanding of basic land principles, terminology, and division order processes.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work hours as needed to meet deadlines.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work well independently and within a team environment.
