What you will do
The Order Management Specialist will Work with suppliers, production, materials and inventory management to ensure the appropriate materials are available to meet the production schedule; coordinate with inventory to time the shipment of specific materials in line with production schedules and inventory goals; work with suppliers to procure the appropriate materials for production; and, may assist in the production scheduling process.
How you will do it
- Identify orders to be shipped according to customer priority.
- Maintain a strong line of communication between internal support teams and materials planning team.
- Provide support and assists in response to productivity demand and other special requirements.
- Expedite and coordinate material orders with buyers.
- Follow up on orders from feeder plants and distribution plants.
- Work with production planners to ensure on time delivery requirements.
- Follow up on ship short orders from customers.
What we look for
Required:
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of one (1) year of production planning experience in a manufacturing environment OR Associate degree and a minimum of six (6) years of production planning experience in a manufacturing environment OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Ability to work 1st shift (7:00AM-4:00PM).
- Proficiency using MS Office Suite.
Preferred:
- Account management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Customer service and planning experience in a manufacturing environment.
