Job Description

JOB DETAILS

Base pay: $17.65 - $18.65 per hour

1st Shift: 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

The Order Picker Assistant is responsible to provide support to the PIT equipment operator through collecting, loading, shipping, scanning, lifting, and receiving finished warehouse products. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating technical equipment, optimizing loading for efficient logistics and supporting other warehouse functions to ensure optimal operation of the business.

• Wear mandatory PPE (Safety Glasses, Ear plugs, Safety Composite or Steel Toe Shoes, Safety Vest, Hard Hat, Full-body Safety Harness)
• Use wireless RF scanning equipment to ensure accuracy of inventory
• Movement of carts in and out of production work area
• Loading window sash components for processing insulated glass units
• Assembly of vinyl grids for placement within insulated glass unit
• Scan and process materials accurately and timely to ensure customer satisfaction
• Adhere to quality and customer service standards set forth by the company
• Utilize production reports to assist in production planning 
• Work with and collaborate with “Picking Operator” throughout the assigned shift
• Identify safety hazards in the workplace
• Assist with picking windows order picker equipment at elevated heights up to 20 feet from ground level

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and stand for duration of entire shift.
• Must cross-train and rotate on various workstations within line/complex. 
• Ability to measure lengths accurately to 1/32” 
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Able to convert fractions to decimals 
• Ability to read and interpret common statistical data, productivity reports, and written instructions 
• Capable of using computerized equipment 
• Ability to move carts in and out of production areas 
• 1 - 3 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Frequent exposure to loud noises
• No FEAR of elevated heights
• Ability to read and write in English (Numbers, Locations, short words and phrases)
