Summary
This National Guard position is for a ORDNANCE EQUIPMENT WORKER (TITLE 32) (INDEF), Position Description Number D2576000 and is part of the 151 MXS located in S.L.C, UT, with the Utah Air National Guard.

MILITARY REQUIREMENTS:
Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership. If you are not sure you are eligible for military membership, please contact a National Guard recruiter prior to applying for this position.

Min/Max Military Grade: SSgt/TSgt AFSC: 2W071
- National Guard Membership is required.
- Indefinite Technician only. No AGRs.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Candidates must have a valid state driver's license.
- Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
- Medical screening will be completed upon selection for hire.
- Soldiers who accept a technician position may be terminated from the Bonus and Student Loan Repayment Program (SLRP).
- Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
- May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
- May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours; overtime may be required.
- The duties and responsibilities of your job may significantly impact the environment. You are responsible to maintain awareness of your environmental responsibilities as dictated by legal and regulatory requirements, your organization, and its changing mission
- This position is eligible to be in the union.
Qualifications
**Must include beginning and ending dates of employment stated as MM/YYYY; and total hours worked per week in order to determine part time vs. full time credit.
GENERAL EXPERIENCE:
Experience or training which has provided the candidate with the knowledge and application of mechanical and electrical principles and the skill to perform intricate repair and adjustment of hydraulic and pneumatic components and devices.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Experience or training in dismantling, cleaning and reassembling various ordnance equipment such as; target detecting, arming, control, steering, power and propulsion units and devices. Experience which required the ability to diagnose malfunctions. Experience in hand tools and a limited number of measuring instruments. Experience in the use of a variety of test equipment, such as ohmmeters, voltmeters and meggers. Experience interpreting and applying a variety of technical manuals and similar published materials.
