Job Description

The OD Business Partner will participate as a key contributor to support the Corporate HR/OD strategy.

You will work closely with business managers and HR Business Partners (HRBP) to develop and implement talent development, learning and change initiatives that drive continual performance improvement, consistency, and a sustainable business competitive advantage.

You will advise Managers and recommend effective talent management and learning solutions to meet business needs; connect Learning and Development opportunities to career growth plans, talent review development plans, and performance feedback discussions.

Your ability to understand business drivers and focus areas, in order to properly identify effective and deliverable OD s olutions to Management and their teams, will be key to your success in this role.

You will demonstrate your ability to recognize different audiences and suitably adapt program delivery to meet their needs. You will effectively communicate OD objectives with a number of stakeholders at different levels, creating a compelling and inspired vision and sense of core purpose which supports their business goals.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contribute to NOV's OD strategy to improve overall organizational performance and effectiveness.
  • Roll out key corporate learning and development programs within area of responsibility.
  • Support leaders to develop and deliver a strategic approach to performance improvement, learning and career development, engagement and change management to support the achievement of the NOV's desired culture and shared values.
  • Work alongside customers in the business planning process to identify, diagnose and address OD needs through a clear strategic framework and practical, tailored solutions to enable performance improvement and increased engagement.
  • Provide professional internal OD consultancy services to promote teamwork, improve performance and engagement, and enable successful delivery of the organization's objectives.
  • Manage and prioritize own portfolio of work, consisting of talent review scheduling, facilitation and scribing; performance development training; learning and career development; and project-based responsibilities to meet required deadlines and objectives.
  • Deliver and evaluate learning & development interventions including facilitation of workshops, and/or team development as part of work portfolio.
  • Regularly undertake research and development in relation to OD, including horizon scanning of upcoming good practice, benchmarking with other organizations/industries to add value to our internal OD services.
  • Collaborate with HRIS BP's to identify and collect OD data to provide meaningful analysis of organizational trends; research and recommend system solutions to support the HR/OD objectives.
  • Regularly maintain own continuous professional development.
  • Champion a continuous improvement mind-set and a 'can do' approach to ensuring OD delivers added value through its services.
  • Provide support, advice and guidance to HRBP's, managers and teams on how to successfully manage change and offer practical solutions that meet the needs of customers' service areas.
  • Lead on the effective implementation and on-going delivery of OD- related system initiatives, including talent reviews and succession planning, coaching and mentoring, performance management and development planning, leadership and line manager development.
  • Develop leadership capacity and capability across the organization, through a range of methods including training, coaching, mentoring, self-development, on-the-job development, e-learning, and organization/role design.
  • Work collaboratively with key partners including HRBP's, the Talent Acquisition team and HRIS BP's to ensure OD needs are identified, consistent, and prescribed approaches are aligned and implemented to support services.
  • Support more senior members of the team with delivery of 360-degree feedback and the integration of behavioral-based competencies into organizational processes and systems

Qualifications:

  • 3+ yrs working experience HR/Organizational Development function

  • Degree in Business, Psychology or Human Resources Management, preferred
  • Certified, such as Korn Ferry Leadership Architect or 360

Experience:

  • Proven working knowledge of working within and Organizational Development function
  • Working knowledge of presenting information and group initiatives to wider business audiences
  • Working knowledge of delivering blended learning, e-learning programs, facilitating teams, one-on-one coaching, moderating discussions.
  • Working knowledge within an international business environment
  • 9-Cell Talent Review Facilitation.

Skills, training or special knowledge

  • Computer literacy (including good command of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Office 365)
