Position Purpose
The Senior Manager, Organizational Effectiveness & HR Change Management will build strong partnerships with business leaders, managers and Human Resources Business Partners, to identify and develop strategic initiatives that improve Team Member and Leader performance. Organizational Effectiveness is focused on influencing culture, developing organization capabilities and competencies, and building and engaging talent. The Senior Manager, Organizational Effectiveness & HR Change Manager is responsible for organization and capability planning and organization design, in partnership with Talent Management, Project Management, Prioritization and Planning, Change Management, Recognition and Engagement This position is a people leader role. Specific responsibilities may include:
- Proactively identify job design/organization design opportunities that can increase organization effectiveness and prepare company for growth
- Develop and implement innovative strategies for organizational effectiveness, including: organization development, change management and project management
- Lead, manage, and continuously improve programs, such as voice of team members, future of work, onboarding, etc.
- Drive change management strategy, execution and consulting approach
- Design and influence enterprise HR planning and prioritization process
- Plan and manage budgets, project plans and manage relationships with internal/external resources
- Coach and develop Human Resource Business Partners on organizational effectiveness priorities to create high performing teams and team members
- Influence leadership and develop consensus around strategic direction for organization effectiveness
- Assess cultural needs and prioritize to align with business and human resource strategy
Position Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Development, Organizational Development, Psychology, Education, related field or equivalent experience
- Master's degree is a plus
- 10+ years combined experience in organizational effectiveness, organizational development, talent management, HR strategy and/or human resource development
- Program/project management and/or change management experience preferred
- Previous people leadership experience is preferred
- Strong business acumen with results orientation to align with business strategy and drive performance
- Knowledge of organizational effectiveness theory and best practice
- Ability to identify gaps and determine best course of action
- Strong interpersonal skills: listening, communication, influencing
- Ability to manage projects - create effective plans and execute
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement programs
- Proven success in building relationships, collaborative efforts and working effectively with others
- Self-directed and agile
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; Demonstrated presentation skills; Strong PowerPoint and Word skills
- Comfortable around all levels of management and confidence in influencing leadership and driving results
- Certification and experience in state-of-the-art talent assessments and tools is a plus
Working Environment
- This is a hybrid role offering a balance of remote work and collaborative on-site work based at Sleep Number Headquarters in Minneapolis, Minnesota
