Job Description

In this role you will:

ย ยท Create and maintain project charters to ensure clarity on scope and project objectives

ยท Coordinate project through all phases of lifecycle (Initiation, planning, execution, closeout)

ยท Partner with cross-functional teams to develop project plans, forecasts/budgets, and timelines (milestones), inclusive of managing contingencies and critical path

ยท Evaluate and report project team activities against project plan to identify deviations from planned timing, budget or scope

ยท Contribute to design and execution of communication and change management plans to ensure that all stakeholders are informed of project status

ยท Participate in project outcomes through utilization of process improvement mindset (e.g., lean six sigma skillsets)

ยท Leverage appropriate communication tools to ensure impact and multiple modalities

ยท Participate in development of stakeholder analysis and engagement plan

ยท Facilitate project team meetings with agendas, minutes, and tracking of action items

ยท Manage project issue & risk register

ยท Manage vendors through processing of SOWs, POs, invoices, etc.

ยท Track and monitor project execution, including facilitation to identify measures of success

ยท Coordinate project closeout such as lessons learned.

WHAT YOUโ€™LL BRING TO ALCON:

ยท Bachelorโ€™s Degree or Equivalent year of directly related experience (or high school + 13 yrs; Assoc. +9 yrs; M.S. +2 yrs; PHD +0 yrs.

ยท The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English

ยท 5 Years of Relevant Experience

ยท Work Hours: 40 hrs M-F

ยท Travel: up to 5%

ยท Relocation: NO

ย 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

ย 

ยท Degree in Business, Communications, Project Management or Scientific / Technical discipline

ยท Formal project management, learning management or change management certification preferred (e.g., PMI, PROSCI, ATD)

ยท Direct experience on internally facing initiatives with a focus on associate experience - such as process improvement, transformations, reorganizations, integrations, etc.

ยท Certification in Lean Six Sigma methodology (e.g., Green/Black Belt)

ยท Experience within Medical Device, Pharmaceuticals or similar regulated industry
