Origination and Product Management Senior Vice President

CAIS is building the first truly open marketplace for alternative investments, where financial advisors and asset managers engage and transact directly on a massive scale. CAIS provides financial advisors with a broad selection of alternative investment strategies, including hedge funds, private equity, private credit, real estate, digital assets, and structured notes; thus, allowing them to capitalize on opportunities and/or withstand ever-changing markets. Additionally, CAIS provides an industry leading learning system, CAIS IQ, that helps advisors learn faster, remember longer, and improve client outcomes.

CAIS is seeking a Senior Vice President to join the Product and Research team, responsible for sourcing, reviewing, monitoring, and engaging alternative asset managers and investment strategies, to ensure best in class investment products for our clients. Qualified candidates for the Product Origination, Development, and Management group should have experience with sourcing, developing, and onboarding alternative investments with an understanding of the needs of wealth management advisors. Candidates should be passionate about providing access to alternative investments to the wealth management channel and able to understand a diverse range of technical investment products. Strong written and verbal communication is imperative, as the role requires constant communication with a wide range of stakeholders.

Primary Objectives

• Originate high-quality, in-demand alternative investment solutions for the platform and oversee the initial onboarding and ongoing product management responsibilities
• Work closely with alternative investment fund managers and internal stakeholders (including Distribution, Legal, Finance, Operations, Client Service, and Marketing) to achieve the objectives of the firm
• Organize and manage a growing pipeline of available alternative investment funds and work closely with the Alternative Investment Manager Research, Product Engagement, and Distribution groups, as well as various other business groups of CAIS, in developing and growing the business
• Conduct and contribute to investment product launches, including tactical and strategic business development, execution of listing agreements, organization of customized manager presentations, and active participation on the Product Committee
• Contribute to the development and continued improvement of key business metrics that will inform management of the growth of the business and contribute to the identification of new opportunities
• Oversee lifetime product management and expansion responsibilities
• Monitor market trends and contribute to the team’s thought leadership in this area

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in financial markets with a strong focus in alternative investments, including hedge fund and/or private markets strategies
• Qualified candidates will have strong existing relationships with asset managers and be able to communicate the benefits of the CAIS Platform
• Broad investment management and financial market knowledge across asset classes
• An understanding of alternatives marketplace and regulatory environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate the benefits of complex investment products
• Highly ambitious and collaborative self-starter with experience coordinating multiple competing and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborate effectively with individuals at a range of levels from internal and external partners
• Ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve timely and efficient execution of various projects
• Strong project management and time management skills with ability to make workflows more efficient

• • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or Accounting preferred
