OT Operations Manager

As the OT Operations Manager at Baker Hughes, you will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and leading the OT operations team, which will include network engineers, system administrators, and security engineers. We value on-the-job experience as much as, if not more than, formal education. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the smooth and secure operation of our operational technology (OT) infrastructure, critical to the success of our global operations.

As a OT Operations Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Build and lead a high-performing OT operations team, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
• Develop the operational strategy and framework for OT systems, defining best practices, procedures, and standards for network, system, and security operations.
• Oversee the design, configuration, and management of OT networks to ensure reliability, availability, and security.
• Lead system administration efforts, including server provisioning, maintenance, and optimization to support OT applications and services.
• Collaborate with security engineers to implement and manage security controls, monitor for threats, and respond to security incidents within the OT environment.
• Assist with the development and maintenance of incident response plans and procedures specific to OT systems, coordinating responses to incidents and breaches as necessary.

Feed your passion

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field or relevant Industry certifications such as CISSP, GICSP, GRID, CCNA, or similar.
• Previous experience in the oil and gas or manufacturing sector.
• Familiarity with industry-specific standards and regulations related to OT security.
• Experience with security incident and event management (SIEM) tools.
• Knowledge of cloud-based OT solutions and edge computing technologies.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to drive process improvements and innovation within the OT operations team.
• Extensive, hands-on experience in managing and leading operational teams in an OT environment.
• Strong knowledge of OT networks, systems, and security principles acquired through on-the-job experience.
• Demonstrated experience with network design and administration in industrial control systems (ICS), SCADA, or manufacturing environments.
• Proven leadership and team-building skills through practical experience.
• Strong problem-solving abilities honed through real-world challenges, and the ability to work under pressure
