Reports to the Operations Manager of Substation Services. Under general supervision, is responsible for preparing and scheduling resources to support outages for Major Customers and Project Management that involve substation equipment.
- Responsible for establishing and maintaining customer contacts for scheduled outages and operational needs
- Coordinates with the Project Management team to establish appropriate electrical clearance to complete project work safely
- Coordinates outage activities with the customer or the project management team and other business units.
- Works with others to prepare fully coordinated plans and logical sequence of activities
- Communicates the plan to all company collaborators who will play a role in optimally completing the work.
- Responsible for on site management of customer or project related planned outages, including taking the electrical clearance "tag" on behalf of the company
- Ensures customer are billed for planned outages outside of normal operating hours
- Actively aligns with all Company safety and health rules, policies, and procedures
- Must be willing to work weekends, holidays and after hours to support customer schedules.
- Performs any and all other duties, tasks, and responsibilities as assigned
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree in business or engineering field, or relevant operational experience
- Previous experience in distribution or substations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to facilitate and communicate effectively internally/externally
- Team participation and experience is essential
- Enjoys working with customers and being part of a team
- Must be results oriented, self-motivated with strong multi-task capabilities and able to work with limited direct supervision
