OVERVIEW & IMPACT:

The Outbound Marketing role is a critical function of Foundry to clearly communicate and promote, externally and internally, the overall message of Samsung Foundry.  This person will be critical to shape the Foundry positioning and messaging to all stakeholders from customers, to partners to internal Samsung members.  The ideal candidate would have a strong product marketing or marketing and communications background with previous semiconductor foundry experience as well as related technology experience in either market segments (mobile, automotive, HPC), applications and products (servers, PC, or CPU) or design enablement or ecosystem.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Outbound Messaging and Positioning – work with Segment marketing to message for key applications (may include website, collateral, presentations, webinars)
• Key Conference and Seminars – Own and drive key Outbound activities
  • Internal – SFF(Samsung Foundry Forum) & SAFE(Samsung Advanced Foundry Eco-system)
  • External – Partner and industry events (SNUG, CadenceLive, HotChips, etc.)
  • Work with corporate Marcom team
  • Overall logistics for the events relevant to above and progress management
• Partner Management – work with eco marketing to maintain partner relationships and outbound activities – conferences, shows, webinars, press releases
• Press Releases & Testimonials – work with Marcom on press releases and word with Sales to obtain customer testimonials
• Sales and Customer Support – Roadmap updates, market updates, technical trend updates
• General Industry reporting – keep customer and partners up to date on Samsung activity (general promotion – like newsletter) and keep internal Samsung members up to date (internal communications)

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Strong Communication skills – verbal and written skills are a must, including presentation development and public speaking strength
• Strong Program Management skills – set target schedule, checkpoints, deliverables and track these day by day
• Strong Technical Background – good understanding of semiconductors or manufacturing or market segments or applications
• Marketing and Communications Understanding – Good grasp or process and programs around press releases, editors, developing concise messages, developing collateral, promotions. Etc.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, SFDC, and graphics tools
• Multitasking – ability to handle multiple projects and work in a fast-paced environment with cross-functional teams in multiple time zones
• Ability to translate engineering concepts (features and functions) to Marketing concepts (value and benefits)

PREFERRED EDUCATION:

• Bachelors in Business or Engineering related Discipline with 10+ years related experience OR Master’s n Business or Engineering related Discipline with 8+ years related experience OR PhD in Business or Engineering related Discipline with 5+ years related experience

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Semiconductor Marketing experience
• Ability to work with global stake holders. Cope with foreign cultures, customs
• Experience as a customer working with multiple suppliers
• Experience as a supplier working with various customers
• Fluency in Korean is a plus
