This role creates, develops, and delivers education designed to reduce billing errors. This education is provided to Medicare providers, coders, billers, and compliance staff to help them understand the Medicare program, be informed about changes, and bill correctly.

Role Snapshot
This role creates, develops, and delivers education designed to reduce billing errors. This education is provided to Medicare providers, coders, billers, and compliance staff to help them understand the Medicare program, be informed about changes, and bill correctly.
- Utilize a variety of strategies and methods to offer Medicare providers a broad spectrum of information about the Medicare program through a variety of communication channels, and mechanisms, including print, internet, telephone, educational messages on self-service tools, face-to-face instructions, and web-based trainings/presentations in classrooms and other settings.
- Coordinate internally with staff in appropriate areas (Claims, Appeals, Systems, Medicare Internal Processes, Provider Enrollment) to ensure identified issues are communicated and shared with Provider Outreach & Education (POE) staff.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with external entities to provide education and assist in dissemination of Medicare provider education.
- Establish and maintain a POE Advisory Group (POE AG) to assist contractor in creation, implementation, and review of provider education strategies.
- Analyze data to develop an education methodology.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent post high school and/or related work experience
- 1 year or more of related work experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 or more years in Medicare to include at least one (1) year of Medicare communications (written and oral) as well as public speaking experience.
- Previous experience working with all levels within an organization up to and including senior management
- Background and expertise using recording and editing software
- Experience in developing and delivering presentations
- Knowledge of Medicare guidelines
