Outside Sales Manager - Jacksonville, FL

Flotech is a subsidiary of FloWorks International LLC, which is a privately held company located in Pasadena, Texas.

Summary of Responsibilities

Prospects and analyzes target groups and new business opportunities through market research and developing marketing initiatives. Identifies, pursues, and acquires profitable business relationships with new customers. Ensures maximum exposure of FloWorks amongst targeted prospects. Develops leads, conducts pre-proposal visitations, and assists technical staff with proposal preparation. Leads negotiations to obtain new customers.

Position Purpose

Manage selling and customer service activities, developing and implementing sales and customer retention programs to optimize sales performance, profitability and customer satisfaction. Plan forecast and report on sales and competitive pricing, activities and tactics. Promote market and technology research.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

• Manages and develops direct reports, including inside sales, outside sales and special product sales.
• Communicates with local client/local authorities to discuss needs for project requirements.
• Communicates and negotiates special pricing and product availability with top vendors in district.
• Plans and implements district advertising and promotional strategy and activities.
• Trains and assists management on Point of Sales system procedures including Product Families, Quick Sales Matrix, Product keywords, and Product Grouping for quotations.
• Analyzes sales and operating reports for opportunities and establishes initiatives to address deficiencies.

Qualifications

• Strong sales management background and product knowledge.

Training/Experience

• Typically requires BS/BA in related discipline. Generally 7+ years experience in related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.

• Solutions require analysis and investigation.

• Achieves planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles and practical experience.

Leadership

• Manages a group or team of professional individual contributors and/or indirectly supervises support staff.

Enviromental Job Requirements

• Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
• Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rareoccasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
• Typically requires overnight travel 10% to 30% of the time.
