What You Will Do:

Firaxis Games is looking for an exceptionally organized and talented Art Outsourcing Review Artist to help take our games to the next level. You will work closely with the lead artists on a project to define, manage, receive, check, and implement outsourced art assets both from individual
freelancers and from larger outsourcing vendors. We’re looking for someone who is excited about the opportunities that outsourcing can afford us and has a strong sense of teamwork to help free our leads to focus on the game by taking ownership of this important task.

What You Will Do:

• Manage the outsourcing process by handling art submissions, guiding conversations, and
  coordinating with Outsource Producer.
• Guide a team of external artists to final deliverables that reflect the project’s artistic vision.
• Ensure vendor backlog is populated and work is always available for external resources
• Collect asset creation guidelines from lead artists to provide to outsource partners.
• Gather and deliver detailed documentation and examples of art asset production, procedures, and technical requirements to support external vendors.
  
• Evaluate Effort estimations and work tracking to ensure external performance is in line with current project schedules
• Help develop, maintain, and evolve pipelines for efficient integration of externally produced environment assets.
• Complete first pass evaluation of outsourced assets on behalf of lead artists ensuring
  creation guidelines and quality requirements have been met.
• Provide timely and actionable feedback to external artists working on environment art
• Implement outsourced assets into the appropriate game engine and source control.
  

Who Will be a Great Fit:

• Thorough understanding of current artistic and technical requirements of video game
  production pipelines.
• An eye for core artistic principles including, but not limited to color, composition, value,
  structure, and perspective.
• Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Excellent organizational, personal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to give and receive constructive feedback in a professional and courteous manner.
• 2+ years of experience in video game production, including at least one product cycle (or
  equivalent experience).
• 2-5 years game development experience as an artist.
• 2 or more shipped game titles.
• Must possess current US work authorization.

Bonus Points:

• Production or management experience is a big plus.
• Prior outsourcing experience a plus
