oVertone Color Copywriter

Who are we? We're oVertone Color - a direct to consumer hair care business that is disrupting the multi-billion haircare market in North America. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about copywriting and is motivated and eager to grow into their career.

Our copywriter will work closely with our design, marketing and social departments to provide exciting and engaging content that reflects the oVertone values, in the oVertone voice, that supports our mission and goals. On a practical level, this will involve coming up with new ideas for email + advertising campaigns and creating a clear direction for our social media content.

This currently includes providing copy for the following:

• Blog posts
• Emails (promotional and otherwise)
• Product pages
• Social posts
• Packaging and insert copy
• Catalog and Amazon copy

Requirements

• Excellent communicator and collaborator
• Self-starter with a positive, encouraging working style
• Efficient and well-organized
• Able to see the big picture and distill the steps needed to get there
• Work from home with team communication via Zoom and Slack
• Marketing / Advertising experience a plus

For this position you have:

• Understanding of ecommerce and how to write in brand voice
• Proven experience as a copywriter
• Solutions-oriented attitude and ability to work well with others
• Able to learn new technologies quickly
• Demonstrable ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines
• Well-organized with a customer-oriented approach
• Good understanding of social media and email marketing
• High School diploma; Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business or relevant field is a strong advantage

Salary Range

$70-$95K based on experience
