PaaS Solution Engineer

Infosys is seeking a PaaS Solution Engineer with extensive knowledge of PaaS technologies such as Kubernetes - EKS/Openshift/AKS, ISTIO ServiceMesh, CICD - Jenkins Pipeline, Groovy, Helm, Shell, Terraform, Ansible, NGINX, AWS - R53, EFS, EC2, Azure. The ideal candidate will work in PaaS Engineering Team, design and develop or automate use cases in PaaS Environment. This role requires close partnership and collaboration with other Engineers and Subject Matter Experts.

Required Qualification:

• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Providence, RI or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required. Will also consider three year of relevant work experience in lieu of every year of education
• At least 7 years of Information Technology experience
• Experience: Minimum of 6+ years of experience as Full Stack Developer and Solution Engineer in PaaS
• Design and develop new features and functionalities using Groovy/another programming language, adhering to best practices and coding standards
• Configure new Kubernetes objects or update existing objects in the cluster through reusable pipeline creation and deploy in Openshift cluster
• Configure infrastructure using IAAC framework(ansible, terraform) and automate any infrastructure creation
• Automate repetitive tasks and build pipelines using Groovy scripting (e.g., Jenkins)
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to other developers
• Fair knowledge on how Istio Service Mesh and NGINX works and work on any enhancements related to service mesh objects and NGINX
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to technical discussions and problem-solving sessions
• Understand key cloud services R53, EC2, ELB etc., in AWS, Azure and perform deployment in the cloud environment
• Lead the team and drive the team by providing technical delivery and solution

Preferred Qualification:

• In-depth knowledge of continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. Expertise in using Git for code management.
• Most important skill would be hands-on with any programming language(groovy preferrable) as the focus is more on automation along with Kubernetes knowledge .
• Strong understanding of cloud, Kubernetes, Helm, Istio Service Mesh, IAAC. Should be comfortable with operating systems - UNIX, Linux and Windows.
• Comprehensive knowledge on Swagger, WSDL, XML, JSON, SOAP, YAML, etc
• Experience in full stack development of enterprise applications using J2EE, Spring Boot , Microservices, Angular, NodeJS, Kafka, Kubernetes, Unix would be an added advantage.
• Knowledge and experience with full SDLC lifecycle
• Experience with Lean / Agile development methodologies

The job entails an extensive amount of travel. The job also entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face.
