As an IT PACS Analyst III, you will be one of the critical and key contributing roles to the support our Fuji Radiology Pacs system. You will have the ability to begin your career at Banner in a competitive IT field with growth opportunity throughout the department and within Clinical Applications. This position will be Remote (in touch) with the expectation of some on-site support at various Banner facilities located either in Greater Phoenix area or Tucson. The Radiology PACS team consists of 32 team members, 3 Analyst II, 11 PACS Analyst III and 3 PACS Analyst IV. This position would be Monday - Friday 8:30AM-5:00 PM with an on-call rotation required and a 30 minute lunch. The primary focus will be supporting our PACS environment, lead projects, be an escalation point & mentor for our Analyst 1 team and support the Pacs hotline. POSITION SUMMARY
This position is a high-level individual contributor with expertise in healthcare processes related to Medical Imaging Picture Archiving Communication Systems (PACS) and participates in formulating system scope and objectives relative to the company's requirements. Acts independently or as part of a team to provide knowledge, guidance, research and fact-finding expertise to define, design and modify specifications and processes of PACS. Incumbent participates in establishing system documentation standards and quality assurance methodologies for systems and applications.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Performs standard assignments within own job functions. Expanding knowledge of fundamental theories, practices, procedures, and concepts within the job's function.
2. Identifies and solves a range of problems in straightforward situations; analyzes possible solutions and assesses each using established procedures. Analyzes developments in the field for others.
3. Responds to non-standard requests from internal and/or external customers; investigates with assistance from others, as needed. Interacts primarily with department peers, supervisor, internal customers, patients and physicians.
4. Makes decisions within guidelines and policies that impact own priorities and allocation of time to meet deadlines.
5. Provides operational support in the radiology Picture Archiving and Communication System arena of the assigned facility/facilities and/or business entities. May assist with department budget. Participates/leads committees as assigned. Internal customers: All levels of medical imaging and nursing management and staff, medical staff, and all other members of the interdisciplinary health care team. External Customers: vendors, regulatory and health agencies, patients and family members.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent combination of relevant education, technical, business and 4-7 years' experience in related health care operations.
Requires advance skills using the desktop operative software, web browsers, database design, user interfaces and computer design systems. Must demonstrate effective communication skills, human relations skills, ability to analyze data and solve problems. Requires the ability to organize, prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment. As is typical in this industry, variable shifts and hours and carrying/responding to a pager may be required. Must possess a valid driver's license and be eligible for coverage under the company auto insurance policy.
Needs experience in small scale project planning and reporting either individual or team. Requires communication and presentation skills to engage technical and non-technical audiences. Requires ability to communicate and interact across facilities and at various levels. Successful candidate will have skills to mentor less experienced team members. As is typical in this industry, variable shifts and hours and carrying/responding to a pager may be required.
