Job Description

The role and why it matters:

We are seeking dedicated CFIUS Paralegal to join our legal team and play a vital role in supporting our CFIUS compliance activities.  This position will report to the Director, CFIUS Legal Counsel and support activities related to the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) process. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting our ongoing compliance with national security regulations..

  1. Legal and Business experience :

You will: 

  • Assist in the preparation, organization and management of legal documents related to CFIUS matters.
  • Conduct research on CFIUS regulations and procedures, and provide analysis to support decision making.
  • Assist the inhouse CFIUS security team in continuing to develop and implement CFIUS compliance programs and policies.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of CFIUS related legal activities and transactions.
  • Facilitate communication between internal Vonage teams, external partners (including the CMAs) and government agencies on CFIUS matters as directed by the Director, CFIUS Legal Counsel
  • Support the inhouse CFIUS security team in continuing to develop and implement CFIUS compliance programs and policies.
  • Support the collaboration cross-functionally with internal teams, including finance, compliance, and business development, to ensure alignment with CFIUS requirements.
  • Stay abreast of changes in CFIUS regulations and national security policies and advise on their impact on the company.

What’s required for application:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field
  •  Minimum 3+ years of experience working as a Paralegal law firm or corporate legal department in the technology sector or related industries , with exposure to CFIUS matters being desired
  • Familiarity with CFIUS and national security regulations and an eagerness to expand expertise in this area.
  • In-depth knowledge of CFIUS regulations, procedures, and related legal frameworks.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a meticulous attention to details
  • Proficient in conducting legal research and summarizing findings.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to assess complex legal issues and provide practical solutions.
  • Effective communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • You will possess a high level of integrity and be committed to the highest ethical standards.
