This role will be the second legal hire reporting to the SVP of Legal. This person will create and assist in managing Intellectual Property and contract processes, systems, and tools as well as being a critical member of the Legal team.Â
Responsibilities:
Intellectual PropertyÂ
- Manage and organize all trademark and patent communications with outside counselÂ
- Create outside counsel guidelines Â
- Select and implement Intellectual Property asset management systemÂ
- Select and implement patent disclosure tools and systemsÂ
- Manage inventor paperwork and the inventor incentive programÂ
- Review outside counsel billsÂ
- Generate reports and slides for the executive team
- Docket internal deadlines and assist in organizing prioritiesÂ
- Develop and update Trademark Usage GuidelinesÂ
- Assist in scheduling disclosures when needed
ContractsÂ
- Under the supervision of Counsel, manage a high volume of contracting complexities requiring strategic thinking, problem solving, communication, and prioritization skills
- Partner cross-functionally to support the development of contracting approaches for evolving business strategies
- Select and implement a contract management systemÂ
- Create and implement the standard flows for contract administration including enforcing signing authoritiesÂ
- Be the first point of contact for NDAS, MSAs, MTAs, etcÂ
- Assist in standardizing contract templatesÂ
- Evaluate current contracts to determine risks and necessary revisions resulting from changes in policy, strategy, legal guidance, new products, and divestitures
- Ensure contract terms and conditions are compliant with applicable law
MiscÂ
- Assist with developing training materialsÂ
- Assist with other special legal projects and other administrative tasks on an as needed basis.
Minimum Qualifications
- Paralegal Certificate and/or Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal with experience in both Intellectual Property and ContractsÂ
- Experience in technology and/or biotechnology industry is a plus
- Highly organized with strong leadership and project management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Sense of humor is requiredÂ

Pay Range: $110,000 - $120,000
At EVERY™ pay ranges are subject to change and assigned to a job based on the location specific market median of similar jobs according to 3rd party salary benchmark surveys. Individual pay within that range can vary for several reasons including skills/capabilities, experience, and available budget.
