AlertMedia is looking for a Paralegal to be a key partner with our Commercial Legal team. On the Commercial front, this individual will support AlertMedia’s legal and procurement teams in the review, negotiation, and drafting of commercial contracts (including purchase and sale contracts, non-disclosure agreements, services agreements, and other contracts).

Who you are: 
 
You will be a key player on AlertMedia’s legal team with a significant number of cross-group responsibilities. This exciting position will be a key player in the management of AlertMedia’s Commercial Contracts and will help the Business Operations and Sales teams to operationalize contracts effectively, including creation of contract administration manuals and trainings where necessary. 

What you get to do every day: 

Commercial Contracts 

  • Assist with the preparation, negotiation, review and execution of procurement related contracts
  • Create and maintain accurate records of all contracts and act as the point person for questions on AlertMedia’s contractual obligations
  • Drive operational efficiencies within the legal team through data-driven analysis and continued process improvement
  • Assist Legal Counsel to develop and maintain template forms of agreements for our Procurement business
  • Support contract finalization and execution, including coordination regarding internal approval processes
  • Draft demand letters, cease and desist letters, etc. related to contractual and related issues

Policies and Procedures 

  • Assist with streamlining processes to foster efficient contracting
  • Support attorneys with finalizing contracts and implementing legal processes

What you bring to the role: 

  • 3+ years of paralegal or contract management experience, including familiarity with negotiating, drafting and analyzing commercial contracts
  • Preferred prior in-house experience
  • Some working knowledge of data privacy laws preferred
  • Be a self-starter with the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time, prioritize matters and meet deadlines
  • A quick and flexible learner, intellectually curious, open-minded, adaptable, comfortable with ambiguity and risk, and excited by dynamic change
  • A team player with the ability to proactively identify problems and identify pragmatic/creative solutions
  • High standards, impeccable integrity and ethics, unquestionable good judgment, well-honed analytical skills, superior oral and written communications skills, and a keen sense of humor
