FTE: 0.725, 29 hours / weekÂ
Schedule: Monday – Thursday 8:00 am – 3:00 pm; Fri 8:00-1:00pmÂ
Reporting Days: 190, 10 monthsÂ
Compensation: HourlyÂ
Starting Pay: $15-$20 / hr., DOE

Minimum Qualifications Required:Â
Education: High School
Experience: Classroom experience preferredÂ
Certification: N/AÂ
Background: Clear FBI background check
Language: Strong verbal and writing skills in English, Spanish fluency preferredÂ

Job DutiesÂ
Classroom InstructionÂ
- Collaborate with supervising teacher to provide instructional support to students.Â
- Assist students to reach academic success.Â
- Creates a classroom environment that cultivates learning, engages the interests of the students, and allows them to perform at their very best.
- Utilizes academically rigorous lessons, unit plans, rubrics and assessments aligned to Athlos’ 3 foundational pillars of a Prepared Mind, Healthy Body, and Performance Character.
- Collect and report data on students’ academic progressÂ
- Differentiates assistance based on individual needs, learning style, and abilities.
Classroom and School CultureÂ
- Communicates a deep belief that all students can learn, and belong, in the classroom.
- Consistently implements school-wide management policies.
- Creates a positive learning environment by developing classroom rules, systems, and procedures.Â
- Holds high expectations for student behavior at all times.
- Develops positive relationships with students, families, teachers, staff, and community members.

CommunicationÂ
- Communicates professionally with parent/guardians and the community.
- Communicates student progress with parent/guardians regularly.
- Communicates regularly with school leadership and other faculty to maximize effective instructional activities.
ProfessionalismÂ
- Models the Athlos culture.
- Implements school policies.
- Tracks student attendance, behavioral issues, and classroom events.
- Participates in regular school-wide and individual professional development including professional learning communities.
- Pursues ambitious professional development goals and student learning targets.
- Actively participates in critical school events, including staff meetings, open houses, parent teacher conferences and more.
- Gives and receives positive and constructive feedback from colleagues.
- Honors schedules and deadlines.

Knowledge and SkillsÂ
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office or Google Classroom and video platforms such as: Zoom or Teams.
- Strong facilitation skills with the ability to engage the entire classroom.Â
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.Â
- Experience working in diverse communities and a deep appreciation for diverse perspectives.Â
- Demonstrated integrity and high standards in managing information in a confidential and professional manner.Â
