We are Aspire Living & Learning, a non-profit human services agency making a meaningful difference in the lives of adults and children with autism and other disabilities.
Aspire Living & Learning is currently seeking a Paraprofessional to assist in providing instruction for children with behavioral disabilities in the classroom. The Paraprofessional will work closely with a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and Special Education teacher to implement each student’s educational and behavioral programs. This position is dedicated to increasing social skills, academic skills, self-regulatory skills, and promoting independence.
Our Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor’s degree in Behavior Analysis, Education, Psychology, Human Services, Speech Pathology, or a related field and knowledge in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) preferred.
- At least 1 year of experience working with children with disabilities in a school setting within the past 5 years.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills in order to work cooperatively within the classroom.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required.
- Experience working directly with children with disabilities required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to remain calm and patient at all times.
