Part-Time Event Chef

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Caterer to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food handling and meal preparation, with experience in a restaurant or dietary department setting. As a Caterer, you will be responsible for creating delicious and visually appealing meals that meet the dietary needs of our clients while ensuring food safety standards are upheld. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Responsibilities • Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and dietary requirements. • Ensure all food is handled safely and meets food safety regulations. • Assist in menu planning and meal preparation for various events. • Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain an efficient workflow. • Set up and break down catering events, ensuring all equipment is cleaned and stored properly. • Provide exceptional customer service during events, addressing any dietary concerns or requests. • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas. • Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages. Experience • Previous experience in a culinary role, such as cook or dietary aide, is preferred. • Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential. • Experience working in a restaurant or catering environment is a plus. • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. • A passion for cooking and creating memorable dining experiences for clients.
