Job Description

Citizen seeks a highly motivated, organized, and entrepreneurial strategist to serve as its Partner Development Associate. You're the right person for this role if you're a creative problem solver with strong business instincts and skilled at relationship building. This is a great opportunity for an early career professional to get in on the ground floor of growing a democracy-focused enterprise at the intersection of product and social impact.

In this role, you'll work alongside Citizen leadership and growth teams to tailor solutions for a growing market of mission-driven companies, efforts, and organizations, drawing on Citizen's suite of data products and services. You'll field customer requests and needs, and design, draft, and distribute proposals, leaning on other internal teams as needed.

In addition to proposals, as our Partner Development Associate, you'll be responsible for helping to position Citizen to meet its business goals. This includes supporting Citizen with developing high-level growth strategies, managing our internal sales CRM, systematically tracking opportunities, generating revenue forecasts, and analyzing the competitive landscape. As Citizen grows and expands, we'll look to you to help us identify and develop new systems and processes that will make our capability even more effective and efficient.

Citizen is a remote company, and we're happy to consider candidates that are currently located and reside in the U.S. for this position.
Role responsibilities:
  • Design, draft, & deploy proposals in collaboration with the Citizen team
  • Interface and develop, cultivate, and manage relationships with current and potential Citizen partners
  • Manage Citizen's sales CRM, systematically tracking opportunities, organizing partner contacts, and generating revenue reports
  • Develop competitive landscape analyses
  • Help identify and pursue new systems and processes to drive efficiencies
  • Support Citizen leadership with high-level growth strategies
  • Other duties as assigned


Requirements

  • 3-5 years experience in business development, growth, account management, and/or strategic partnerships
  • Demonstrated understanding of Citizen market landscape
  • Sharp problem-solving skills and a quick learner
  • Excellent written communications
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Extremely well-organized
  • Background knowledge of data, product, and/or tech spaces preferred
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and preference for a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Alignment with and commitment to Citizen's mission
